ABOUT ME

Moved to Albuquerque in 1992. Spent the 90’s as an audiophile, and studied electronics engineering technology with the vague idea that I might start a hi-end amp company. Built my own stereo (three times over), ending up with an all-tube system. Started repairing electronics and instruments.

Born in Hollywood, California. Grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Life-long musician (violin, cello, bass guitar, saxophone, keyboards, and drums).  Avid recording enthusiast.  Studied electronic music and musique concrete in high school with Tom Dodson, who years later became the Dean of Fine Arts at UNM. My first band, the Eighties, formed in 1977. We rehearsed next door to the Go-Go’s at the Masque.

I’m primarily a bass player, not a guitarist. But I am drawn to the iconography of the Rock and Roll Guitar!

Realized that everything I’ve done and all the skills I’ve learned were telling me to start making electric guitars by hand, to the highest standards I can apply.
